It is an honor to serve as President of the PCBA for the upcoming year. I want to personally thank each and every member for allowing me the opportunity to do so. The PCBA is an organization created to help lawyers and judges achieve success by being an inclusive organization serving the justice system and the community.

In starting this year ahead, I would ask all members to find a way to serve the justice system and community through the PCBA. There are many opportunities for all members to be a part of the vision of the association. Consider attendance at our monthly meeting of members, which provides opportunities to see your colleagues and learn of legal developments and where help is needed. Consider mentoring new attorneys and becoming a part of their development for a positive impact on the justice system. Please consider serving on a PCBA committee. These committees facilitate CLE events, support the Volunteer Lawyers Project, coordinate practice meetings for lawyer development, and continue the Law Day tradition for students to learn about the law and legal system through challenging competition.

Please check out our new website to stay informed about upcoming events and opportunities for involvement.  Please review the Committee descriptions on the website and consider joining one.  I think you will find there is a path for every member to become meaningfully engaged in our professional organization.  Finally, if you have an idea for something new, we want to hear it!  If you have ideas, want to become more involved, or need more information, please contact me or our Executive Director Carol Phillips.

I wish you the best in the year ahead and look forward to hopefully seeing you all often along the way.
