Polk County Court and Motion Days  

Service Days: Every day, Monday through Friday of each week, excepting holidays, from the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Certain motions are handled 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. daily.

Motion Days: Friday of each week is designated as Motion Day in all Divisions of this Court. If such Motion Day falls on a day when Court is not in session, the next succeeding judicial day shall be Motion Day for that week at the same hour. On the appropriate Motion Day, all civil motions, with the exception of Motions for Continuance or for Time, that have been on file for ten days or more, and which require a Ruling or attention of the court, shall be delivered by the Clerk to the Court and come on for hearing, provided, however, the party filing such motion in a Family Law or Juvenile case shall be responsible to present the matter to the Court for Ruling. Such motions may be heard at another time, not more than 30 days from its Motion Day on order of the Court on good cause shown.
